My Approach
My approach draws on recent findings from the fields of neuroscience, organizational psychology and design. I provide immersive, tailor-made learning experiences that will engage your leaders intellectually and emotionally, boost their creative confidence and strengthen their innovation skills.
Tailor-made programs
Attending any innovation training or program can often seem like buying a lottery ticket. There is no guarantee that the lecturer will discuss the topics, and convey the tools that are relevant to each participant, and to your specific innovation projects.
This is why I use a two-tier approach. When designing the program for your organization I will conduct one-on-one conversations with members of your team to better understand their needs and their challenges with managing innovation projects. This will allow me to provide you with relevant tools, examples, and exercises that can be applied directly to your projects.
Three pillars of innovation mastery
In my work with clients I center every project around the three pillars of innovation mastery:
LEARN: Learning a new innovation skill
I explain key innovation concepts and skills through real case studies and how companies employed them in their innovation projects. I then model appropriate skills in a live demo to convey the basic rules and strategies, which allows the participants to learn by observing and reflecting.
TRY: Practice to build confidence
By having participants work on a real design project in small teams we create opportunities for the learners to practice the new skill in a form of guided practice and receive immediate feedback from skilled coaches to develop proficiency and skill.
APPLY: Apply it to real life projects
I measure the success of each program by how much participants change their behavior and feel confident to apply newly learned skills to their project. The post program continues as participants cultivate their innovation practice and continuously apply what they have learned to their own projects at work. With coaching and post program engagements we slowly transition them from practicing skills to applying them in real business context.
